Silvretta Arena, one of the biggest and loveliest ski areas in the Alps, inspires. Silvretta Arena Ischgl, with its 239 kilometres of pistes and state-of-the-art cable car facilities, is one of the loveliest winter areas in the Alps, where unlimited ski fun awaits from the end of November until the start of May.
However, it is not just keen skiers who are inspired by Ischgl, ambitious cross-country skiers will find a real paradise within a trail network spanning some 73 kilometres. Thanks to the snow-assuredness at 1377 and 2040 metres altitude, the trails in Ischgl and Galtür are guaranteed to have snow cover from the start of December right into spring, providing optimum conditions. Whether you enjoy classic or skating style skiing, in Galtür and Ischgl you will find a genuine cross-country skiing paradise.
Away from the pistes too there are just as many opportunities available for winter sport activities in the middle of unspoilt natural surroundings, snow-shoe hikes, nighttime tobogganing routes, ice rinks and much more.
Add to that the top-class events right in Silvretta Arena, which provide even more ‘wow’ moments
For those of you who would like to enjoy some tranquillity away from all the hustle and bustle, we recommend a guided ski tour in the Silvretta Group with its 74 three-thousand metre mountains. This is quite possibly what you would call skiing in its most original guise – tackling the mountain on foot, on skis and with ski skins. Then it’s down into absolute joy, as you leave your very own magical tracks in the deep snow. This is skiing heaven on earth!
